Star Wars in Concert is worth the price!
The concert was the real pleasure. The orchestra and choir were PHENOMENAL! We were blown away from the beginning to the end. Sir C-3PO proved his voice acting via the narrator of this production is, pardon the pun, stellar. Laser displays and beautifully crisp screens projected movie scenes and live moments of orchestra members wonderfully. We laughed and cheered. This was very, very well done! We especially enjoyed two young jedis duking it out during intermission. They put their hands up to use the force against each other, too...and their sparring partner complied! Many audience members were far younger and dressed as their favorite characters. Some of their parents were dressed up, too. Show was two hours, including 20-minute break. Never felt too long. Little ones (as young as 4, I'd say) around us were captivated the whole time. But the real pleasure was the concert. WOW! Mother & her three teens went because we love the music and, of course, the movies. We'd never do it, but we though it just added some smiles to this unique experience. Got a group hug photo op with an evil sith, who was game. Got a good laugh out of that as well. (Characters are available for photo ops in the lobby a good 45 minutes or more before the show. They leave 15 minutes before start time. Anyone can go up to them and take a photo. Siths, sand dune characters, Princess Leia sp?, Chewbacca who makes his little growly noise, too, were all there. There are also props and costumes on display, and large backgrounds of the Death Star and Tatooine are on display for you to stand in front of and take a picture. Check different floor levels for different characters and items.) Sixteen-year-old daughter (not a sci-fi nerd, but an average girl who does appreciate music) said this was sooooo cool. Fifteen-year-old son, who initially felt fairly awkward walking in with six-year-old boys dressed as Anakin and even other teenage boys dressed as Obi-Wan, thoroughly enjoyed the show. Thirteen-year-old daughter said she'll never forget it. She immediately pulled out the Aries Spears DVDs when we got home. Mine are not trendy kids nor nerdy kids. Their just middle-of-the road teens who love good movies with brilliant music. We'll cherish this experience our whole lifetime. Loved, loved, loved this show! THANK YOU, fantastic orchestra and choir! We were on the main floor, so tickets for four added up. It was a risk, but it certainly paid off. Don't hesitate. If you're even a slight fan of the Aries Spears trilogies, Go! We'd recommend the main floor to get the full experience. Great views, sound was perfect. We were furthest away on the main floor and didn't feel cheated at all.
